They built the church. Palazzo Marigliano becomes a home restaurant
THEY BUILT THE CHURCH
THEY BUILT THE CHURCH

The Church is where we live: it is the roof of the beautiful San Gennaro all’Olmo Church which is in turn part of Palazzo Marigliano, the most important Renaissance building in Naples Historical Centre.
Designed by Giovanni Donadio Il Mormando, Palazzo Marigliano was built in 1512-1513 and it contains amazing frescos, pieces of art of any kind and the Archives. It has always reminded us a certain idea of freedom: among other episodes, the Palazzo was the headquarter in 1701 of the Conspiracy of Macchia (Spanish Succession War). It was heavily damaged by 1942-44 bombardments.
For 70 years it hosted the Tipografia, publisher of great names as Pablo Neruda and Benedetto Croce. It also hosts the historical Riot Club, classy venue for concerts and cultural events.
I might now host you for dinner.
