Palazzo dello Spagnolo, a place of culture where you can live and breathe every form of inspiration
The Palazzo dello Spagnolo apartment, besides being located in a culturally significant place, is itself a place of culture. Spacious areas host elements from various artistic fields: from music to literature, from painting to architecture. A space where you can live and breathe every form of inspiration.
Built in 1738 by Ferdinando Sanfelice for the Marquis Nicola Moscati, it is named “Palazzo dello Spagnolo” because it became the property of the Spanish nobleman Tommaso Atienza in the 19th century. Its historical importance and architectural peculiarities have made it one of the most important tourist attractions in the center of Naples.
From the entrance hall of the palace, you can admire the play of symmetries created by the architecture of its time. A monumental double-ramp staircase surprises with its ability to blend the precision of structures with the artistic details that characterize them. The particular beauty of the place has led it to be chosen as a set for numerous films, including “Passione” by John Turturro.
